Dunwoody Club Forest lot (.9 acre) to be split into two

I realize everyone is upset to see the changes occurring particularly in their neighborhood.

The city of Dunwoody undertook a zoning rewrite which allowed the developer to submit plans without having to put in any variances. Probably not the case under the old zoning codes ie corner lots no longer require back yards.

At the October 14th city council meeting Re-elected Doug Thompson, Re-elected Dennis Shortal, Terry Null, Mayor Mike Davis , Lynn Deutsch and John Heneghan (all up for re-election in 2 years) voted for the new changes in the zoning. Councilwoman  Bonser voted against.

After pointing out the business community had problem with the new ordinances Builder Bill Grant was quoted as saying " If I can speak for the builders lets move ahead".

Tony Delmichi was quoted as saying"This rewrite still needs further debate. You are rushing this zoning rewrite." Mr Delmichi identified himself as being a member of the community council.

The lot subdivide on Vernon Lake is within the new ordinances. Perhaps the council's haste to finish business has harmed the citizens they are to serve.
